About Us
A different way of living
—and designing.

Living In The Keys
The Beginning
Rooted in Engineering.
We met while studying Mechatronics Engineering at NC State University and UNC Asheville, where our shared focus on system design and problem solving first took shape.
Our senior design project—an interactive installation inspired by Jenny Lynn, a historic ship mast—required the integration of mechanical design, controls, and user interaction into a single cohesive system.
That early experience established the foundation for how we approach engineering today: designing complete systems where every component works together with purpose.
Choosing A Different Path.
We’ve always loved engineering. After graduation, we chose to spend a year traveling—simply to see more and take a step before settling into our careers.
During that time, we found the Florida Keys—and something clicked. The pace, the water, the freedom—it felt like home.
When we returned and began working in traditional engineering roles, we started to see a different side of the industry. Endless meetings, rushed timelines, and rigid processes left little room for creativity or thoughtful design.
At the same time, we knew the Keys wasn’t a place where conventional engineering careers existed, so we continued building experience elsewhere.
Over the past eight years, we’ve been working toward a way back—developing the skills, perspective, and flexibility to build something of our own.
That path ultimately shaped how we approach engineering today: hands-on, thoughtful, and focused on systems that work in the real world.
The Keys Changed Everything
A place that changed everything.
The keys isn’t just where we live — it’s how we live. It inspires our work, shapes our priorities, an reminds us daily what matters most.
The Floating Home
Strictly Pleasure
We didn’t just want to visit the Keys—we wanted a way to be here.
Strictly Pleasure was our starting point. We bought the yacht with the intention of creating something people could experience, while building our own path toward living here full time.
Over time, it became more than that. It’s where we learned what people actually value—comfort, character, and a space that feels easy the moment you arrive.
Hosting has shaped how we think. Not just in engineering, but in how everything comes together—how a space works, how it feels, and how the details carry the experience.
This is where everything we’re building began.
Experience That Shapes Our Work
Built Through Experience.
Designed for Real Life.
Our experience goes beyond traditional engineering paths. We’ve worked on complex, one-of-a-kind systems where precision, creativity, and reliability weren’t optional—they were required.
From hands-on mechanical builds to fully integrated control systems, we’ve learned how to design solutions that don’t just function, but hold up in the real world.
That perspective was shaped further through restoring and living aboard Strictly Pleasure—where every system matters, space is limited, and simplicity isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.
Today, we bring that same mindset into every project: thoughtful design, clean execution, and systems that work seamlessly without constant attention.
We don’t just design for performance—we design for how people actually live with what we build.
It’s never just been about engineering.

Our Approach
Thoughtful Design
Custom solutions tailored to unique people, spaces, and experiences.
Seamless Integration
Systems that work together behind the scenes so you can focus on what’s
in front of you.
Life First
We design and manage with the lifestyle in mind— because it what we live too.
